God continues to work at FBC Runaway Bay!

How many times lately have I said these are exciting times at an exciting place? It's just fun to be a part of a church where God is moving and working and tonight is just another example so I just have to share.

Most of you know that Mary Timberman accepted Jesus to be her Savior a couple of weeks ago and tonight her husband Grant came to me after Bible study and said that he, too, had never truly made that decision. Although he has been a member here for years and years and was baptized right here, he realizes he was just doing what he thought the pastor wanted him to do and not because he truly believed in Jesus as his Savior.

So tonight Grant prayed and asked Jesus to come into his heart to be Lord and Savior and to forgive him of his sins. He realizes now that he can't be good enough or work hard enough to make it into Heaven. He knows he is a sinner and that Jesus died to pay that debt of sin and that it is by faith and through grace that he can now have eternal life in Heaven.

Let's rejoice with the angels right now but also pray for Grant and Mary both. They have lots of physical problems and have a lot on their plates right now. Thank you precious Lord for working in their lives and in the life of our church! Thanks for letting me share. I love you all, Todd
